What is a MEP Engineer? 

 MEP stands for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing. A MEP Engineer is a professional engineer who specializes in the design and management of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for buildings and other structures.

The role of a MEP Engineer is to ensure that the building's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are designed and installed to meet the needs of the building's occupants and to ensure that the systems are energy efficient, safe, and comply with all relevant codes and regulations.

A MEP Engineer is responsible for the design and integration of the building's heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems. This includes the selection of equipment and materials, the development of detailed design drawings and specifications, and the coordination of the work with other disciplines, such as architects and structural engineers.

MEP Engineers also oversee the installation and commissioning of the systems, and may be involved in the operation and maintenance of the systems once the building is completed.
